Government of India organizes Vande Bharat Rescue Fight to Türkiye on June 08, 2020

Government of India organized an Air India rescue flight AI 1965, for the stranded Indians in Turkey on June 08, 2020. A total of 173 stranded Indians (Appendix-I), including 2 OCI, availed the Vande Bharat Rescue flight AI 1966 on June 08, 2020 to reach India. AI 1965 brought 22 Turkish nationals and 09 foreigners (including 05 Indian nationals) to Turkey. All passengers were given refreshments at the airport. The CGI Istanbul team also helped people to fill up the indemnity bond, self-declaration form and the consent to quarantine at Delhi form. Because of the team effort, the evacuation of 173 stranded Indians and 03 foreign nationals went off smoothly. The stranded Indians were all praise for the support extended to them by the Embassy and the Consulate.
