Ritu Ranga to commemorate the poet's 158th birth anniversary

Embassy of India presented ICCR sponsored group Kalamandal to present “Rituranga” an audio-visual production featuring Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore’s songs on the six seasons of Bengal, i.e. Grishma (Summer), Varsha (Monsoon), Sarat (early Autumn), Hemanta (late Autumn), Sheet (Winter) and Vasantha (Spring). Kalamandal group brought alive the songs through dance in Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam and Kathak styles to suit the different seasons. A narration acccompanied by rare photographs of Tagore along with beautiful pictures of the seasons comes after each dance sequence.
