Taking note of the strong economic growth in India and Turkey, growing trade and investment contacts between them and the desire to further deepen economic engagement between the two countries, Embassy of India in partnership with all Indian companies based in Turkey, launched India business Forum (IBF) in Istanbul on 07 December 2018.The India Business Forum was inaugurated by H.E. Mr. Sanjay Bhattacharyya, Ambassador of India to Turkey. He said IBF would be a pillar for our deeper economic engagement as we create a new partnership with Turkey, focused on trade, investment and technology.rnrnMr. VolkanYuzur representing Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK) and more than 20 Indian companies participated at the launch event. Mr. VokanYuzur welcomed the launch of India Business Forum and hoped that IBF would open new gateways and business opportunities for both sides. The representatives of the Indian companies welcomed the initiative and offered their whole hearted support to IBF and hoped that IBF would become the voice of India and Indian Business in Turkey.rnrnThe India Business Forum was launched with the following objectives rnrn(i) Promote Brand India.rn(ii)Share best practices through promoting Indian presence and providing increased visibility.rn(iii) Host sessions with Turkish authoritieseconomic think tanksindustry associations.rn(iv) Start IBF with Indian companies in Turkey and later expand to include Turkish companies with investments in India.rn(v) Cooperation with FICCICII for office, consultancy, taxation, legal advice.rn(vi) To promote CSR and social commitments as part of Indian ethos.rn(vii) Quarterly meetings of the IBF to be held in IstanbulAnkara.rnrnThe launch of the India Business Forum has been supported by CIIFICCIInvest India, and CII would be the Secretariat of the IBF.rn
