550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Devji

Embassy of India celebrated the 550th Birth Anniversary of Guru Nanak Devji on November 26, 2019. Ambassador of India gave the opening remarks mentioning about the tenets of Sikhism. Despite Turkey having only 03 Sikh nationals, the function was well attended by the Indian community and ‘Friends of India’. Jaspreet Kaur and Zeba Khan recited the ‘mool mantar’. Mr Sumiter  S  Broca, Senior Policy officer in FAO, spoke on Guru Nanak Dev’s teaching. Audience was also shown films on Sikhism. Later Prasad was distributed, which was enjoyed by all.
