Indian Embassy Celebrates 75th Independence Day

The Embassy of India, Ankara, celebrated the 75th year of Independence Day on August 15, 2021. The flag hoisting ceremony at India house was attended by Indian community along with friends of India in Turkey. The Ambassador of India read out the President’s message to the nation. Later a cultural program was held to mark the Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The children of India Diaspora presented a cultural program. The Ambassador inaugurated a fitness center in the Chancery to launch the ‘Health and Wellness @75’ campaign. The Embassy also released a special publication on ‘India-Turkey 2021’, to mark India@75. Ms Öykü Gül a Turkish singer, who participated in rashtragaan singing, to mark the Aazdi ka Amrit Mahotsav, was felicitated by the Ambassador. The Ambassador also addressed the august gathering on India’s achievements during 75 years of India’s independence. The Turkish launch of a musical video “Synthesis – The Indian Muse” performed by 16 exemplary Indian artists across genres was held on August 15th 2021, at the Embassy. The guests were served Indian refreshments at the end of the program.
