Hindi Diwas Celebration at Embassy of India, Ankara

The Mission, on the occasion of Hindi Diwas on 14 September, 2015, organized a

function in the Chancery auditorium in which all Embassy officials and their family

members participated. The function was presided over by Ambassador Shri Rahul

Kulshreshth and arranged in association with ICCR’s Hindi Professor. The function

included Hindi poems recitation, essay writing and painting by children. The function

concluded with distribution of prizes and gifts to children.

 

In his brief address, Ambassador Shri Kulshreshth greeted the participants and

encouraged the use of Hindi by them. Dr. Anupama, Alwaikar, ICCR’s Hindi Professor on

deputation to Ankara University, addressed the participants on the importance of Hindi

especially while posted to Missions abroad.

Recently, Dr. Alwaikar organized an introductory course on Hindi for Mission’s local

staff.
