Visit of Mr. Mohammad Hamid Ansari, Hon\'ble Vice President of India

Vice President of India Mr. Mohammad Hamid Ansari paid an official visit to Turkey from 10-15 October 2011 at the invitation of the Hon\'ble Speaker of Turkish Parliament (TBMM), His Excellency Mr. Cemil çiçek. He also called on President Abdullah Gul, and met Prime Minister Erdoðan and Foreign Minister Davutoðlu, besides holding delegation level talks with his host. During his visit to Turkey, he also visited Konya and Kappadokya, and while in Konya, he was conferred a Honorary Doctorate in International Relations by the Mevlana University for his contributions to International peace. In Istanbul, he addressed the Confederation of Turkish Businessmen and Industrialists (TUSKON) at a dinner hosted by TUSKON attended by over 550 Turkish entrepreneurs and industrialists.
