72nd  Republic Day Flag Hoisting Ceremony

The Embassy of India in Ankara wishes to inform all members of the Indian community and friends of India that in view of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the flag hoisting ceremony to commemorate the 72nd Republic Day of India on 26 January 2021, would be restricted only to the members of Embassy in respecting the sanitary and social distancing norms. 

While this Mission understands your desire to stand as a proud member of the Indian community and friend of India during the hoisting of the National Flag and the singing of the National Anthem on this auspicious occasion, we are unfortunately constrained by the prevailing circumstances to restrict public gathering for this year’s Republic Day Celebrations. 

We seek your understanding and hope that the situation will normalize soon so that we can celebrate our Independence Day on 15 August 2021 in a befitting manner.
